Eleven days after she was busted on multiple felony drug charges, a Lake Havasu City woman was arrested again for marijuana possession.

Tawyna Merrick, 35, was arrested Nov. 21 during a civil traffic stop for an expired registration and mandatory insurance suspension. Police later found a small pastic bag with marijuana in her purse.  Merrick told police she couldn’t believe they found marijuana, adding that it must have been left in there from a recent prior arrest.

On Nov. 10, Merrick was arrested on multiple felony drug charges after she was approached by police in a grocery store parking lot. She was charged with possession of dangerous drugs, narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Police were dispatched to the Smith’s Grocery Store parking lot at about 4:20 a.m. Merrick told police she stopped to talk to a friend before she allowed a search of her vehicle. During the search, police reportedly found a meth pipe, a used syringe, a marijuana pipe, a bottle with 23 Roxicet pills, and a small baggie with suspected meth
