A 7 1/2-year prison sentence stipulated in a plea agreement was imposed Thursday for a Bullhead City man who admitted touching his 12-year-old step-daughter improperly. That the girl was being sexually offended was learned when one of her notes was intercepted by a school official.

The girl told investigators that 31-year-old David Hardin began violating her when she was four-years-old. Hardin pled guilty to a reduced charge of attempted sexual abuse.

Hardin must register as a sex offender when released from the Arizona Department of Corrections.
