The former Kingman Police Captain who retired to take another job didn’t last long as police chief in Wickenburg. Wes Bauer resigned March 7 after almost six months on the job.

Wickenburg Town Manager Gary Edwards said as Bauer’s probationary employment period ran its course parties decided it would be best to part company rather than move forward. Sergeant Owen Black is serving as interim police chief.
